Looking great Paul, is the front even lower now or was that just off one side

so my 'something else' in the suspension department is not gonna work, so it looks like i'll be chopping a bit more off the front coils
also tonite I got my leafspring shims fitted to try and rectify the pinion angle, will give it a run out on Saturday to see if it has worked

since my last reply ive driven the van a couple of times, still had a bit of a vibration, so had a looky today, grabed hold of the prop for a wiggle, and it had some movement, so pulled the prop and got a good half turn on the pinion bolt
hope that sorts it as im towing the escort next weekend with it :)
more soon.

its official, the van is useless for towing the rs, so its going back up, looks good sat on its arse, but its no good for what I need it for, and the exhausts are driving me fukin nuts too :x
ohh and the fecker konked out twice today aswell, b*stard!
but the rs ran a string of 14.5's today, so im a happy bunny really
more soon

cant you fit air bag assisters from a camper van to help raise it up to tow the RS, btw they both would look good on the stand at Ford Fair

we have toyed with the idea of airbags/shocks, but don't want it getting to busy under there, plus ive already spent too much time on it, I rang a spring place today about decambering the leafsprings, probly the way i'll be going, just not as low as it is now and hopfully with the pinion angle pointing in the right direction
I have enjoyed my visits to fordfair, but cant see me towing the rs all that way
cheers :)

The camper spring assistors are look like a fairly simple set up, that you could just use a small tyre compressor to inflate when you need to.
Well you could take the escort round the track so that would make towing it there worth while

So today I decided to go the decambered spring route, just don't fancy airbags on the back, should have done it first time really, so kits all stripped apart, while I was at it I've pulled the twin zorsts off too, going to put it back as it was as it sounded much better before.
More soon.

so the fun continues, this is really starting to piss me off now, so I did some measuring, worked out if I decambered the springs 3 inches it would be close to where I wanted it, wrong, still to low
at least the springs are now back on top of the axle, and the rear shackles are back to standard length
so the new plan is an inch spacer block/ few layers of old leafspring between the axle and leaf to get it back up, but my spring clamps are too short, quick phone call to a couple of transiteers more knowledgeable than me(cheers jono and matt) so I'm now on the lookout for a set of spring clamps off a multileafsprung transit
found some on ebay, fookin ell £17.60 ea, you boys were right, oh well looks like I gotta dig deep, again.
oh and ive made a start on the revised exzorsts
cheers chaps
more soon
(if I don't torch the fecker)
