this is just a example to see if i realy like orange

it was rubed down with sand paper then some plastic white primer then high build primer then a rub down then a other coat of white normal primer then orange.

was 5.00 from a local scrapy!

my van for 200.00 in dec 06 2007

after a week of owning it i started work on her!

here some pictures

i think got this two weeks latter for 40.00 to make some seat adapters for customizing some seats i got a eye on in the scrapy :!:

did some more work to her

then got some body care :lol:

for the transit as you never find rot :lol:

the lot come to 40.00 in clueing vat

theres
boddy filler 600ml
glass fibre 250ml
white primer 600ml
satin black 600ml
stone gard white 1L
diesel injector clearner
some lock bolt undo cleaner
and 250ml of hammwerite for the van floor in side :wink

then got some wheel trims for 12.00 to tidy her up a little

painted the wheels black 1st

got my seats i got my eye one

for the sum of 10.00 the pair

i then got to work to put them in using the thick steel and got them in

had a look round her to day and it needed some panels so i did a order from beevers

so it not be rust box after :wink:

seeing as beevers sent me the wrong part for the spring hanger so i made my own

home made spring hangers using 2mm steel

this is the photoshoped pics of what i plan to do my van as a finshed project :!:

started to clean the in side out!

than started some welding

so i started this,

as you can see i tock the door of so i can work on it better but now all back together and sorted

still got to weld a patch on the sill and on top on the floor nere the front iner arch :wink:

i just finshed it of heres some pics it does close ok,

i stil got to weld these bits yet on this side.

right the drivers side to do :lol:

good job i have the front arch and sill new panels.

arch and step repair i got to do

a other day now to tidy the welds with grinding etc then body filler over to make it all smoth.

i did spray some underseal in where i cut the rust out and sprayed some waxoil to :wink:

still finshing the left side body filler to smooth it of

the body filler got to be sanded down yet it :wink:

but its better then it was

i then made a start on the pass side door to :!:

as it was roten a bit

got other side front door to do to but this pass side door and arch and sill done and i put loads of bitcho on the unside new front arch and wing so no mud gets there and gobs it up again :wink:

its good what you can do with in 2 hours

started the other side sill and front arch drivers side

i still got to drill some holes along the sill to weld plug it then grind down the welds then body filler and then i will start taking the drivers wing of to weld up the inner wing :wink:

please note the inner sill was roten so i welded a new pice from the back and then where you see the hole that was choped out i plated that to before the sill went on but i put some spray on under seal on it :wink:

as there was a bit of wind so i had to leave it for a day or two and come back to it

heres it geting there

i then grinded down the welds and body filler over them :wink:

as my back doors was roten with being 14 years old so got a better pair of a v REG

i then after finshing the drivers side sill and arch started the inner wing ! was bad then it looked once you get picking!

well tock the wing of to get the inner wing welded up

the drivers side wing looks like it had a new one on but it looked a bodge job more seam sealer then welding :lol:

so there had to be some home made inner wing to start so here i started :lol:

this is a pic so you can see for your selfs what iam doing!

and heres the inner wing iam making!

simple realy get some steel out of here :lol:

them make some carboard templates and then put them on to steel plate and draw round and cut out! looks like this!

thats all i done so far :!:

will carry on with it
a other day whe i have one spare :lol:

well did this to day!!

lession learned to day !!! take out much stuff out way you can before welding!!
or you set fire to you van like i did

luckly it only mated 3 wired in thw wire loom and one from the fues box

as i had no revesing lights/ or brake lights or radio or in side cab light

but i replaced the burned together wires and hay presto it works again!!!

only burnt my bonnet cable but it still works will get a other one from scrapy and maybe a servo cap as i never had one!!
heres the dash out as i was doing the wires!!

gona go back out now and finsh it of!!!

as got to move the van tomorow!
