will hopefully be getting the van resprayed on the 9th meanwhile i have got this little job to fix

it was the rear spring hanger :lol: :lol: :lol: same problem as the rest of the smiley shape vans, it rots :evil: still will hopefully have the new one before the new year[/img]

you would have thought they would make them the same as the chassis cab hangers over an inch thick not 10mm thick :x still i am another £80 lighter now even less to spend on getting it chipped :evil:

be carefull about who re sparys your van , i had my a-team sparyed up and he did a sh1t job , just sparyed staright over the rust never prep it :evil:

have got a good painter to do it he has contracts with honda touring cars and mclaren f1 and others so i think he should do a good job he is very reluctant to paint the fiberglass as it goes funny after a while but i wont be keeping her for more than a year :)

thats ok if you know him , i didnt know the guy who painted my van he just filled my head full of bull b4 he painted then after about 3month rust start to appear, i went back to see him and just made sh1t up

yeah it were cheap £650 but i offer him alot more to do a proper job but he said £650 is enough

OUCH, I pay £300-400, for the quality you describe, a 'blow over'. If I want it to last I do the prep myself, then I know it's done. The last repray we had was £350 for a luton, but 6 months later we had to have the wing replaced! At least you don't mind if it's cheap, it gets the biggest part of the job out of the way, a tip is always to ask for a jar full of spare paint. Teh respray before that was the minibus, which cost £300 and was about ready to just mask up when I drove in.

i am back on the road :lol: :lol: after 3 weeks with out her finally got a call today that the spring hanger had come in :) all the way from turkey :shock: and just on £100 with the bolts :twisted: how can they charge so much for a piece of steel :twisted: hopefully will be heading north this week end :) just got the small problem of a leaking injecter now :x put £20 of fuel in today done about 10 miles and the guage was nearly empty stopped lifted the bonnet to find a lot of smoke :o anyway looks to be leaking from one of the rubber connecting pipes at the top of the injecter to dark to see what i was doing so crawled home :(

£100 :shock: robbin b******* gunslinger could have knocked one of them up with some old galv chequer plate he found in a skip!!! :lol:

no as they are only applicable to ambulances and drw hi-cubes so only fords seem to selll them :x

got hold of a different set of injecters today turned out the ones i had in were for a 70 ps n/a :? flys along once again, i got 105mph down the m27 :lol: :lol: hopefully it wont take me to long to get to sheffield tommorow :D seems everything is fixed at the mo next thing is mon i will be losing her for a week to be resprayed :lol: still will have a c*rsa van to run around in for a week :cry: will get pics on as soon as its done :)
