got the mechanism sorted for the seats now they work fine - as in land in the exact position i want but ive just got to make some clips and levers to hold them still - it will all fold with 1 action nothing to unbolt or lift out - its taken a while to come up with the best solution but i'm pretty chuffed so far

here's some photos taken from the back

pic 1 shows the seats fully back so 3 people can sit in the front facing forward

seat1.JPG

pic 2 shows them folded forward so 2 people can sit facing backwards eating at the table (which will be immediately behind the seats)

seat2.JPG

pic 3 shows them folded forward so the space can be used for the bed - this will make 6' bed - not a big double but it will be a double as it folds out behind the drivers seat too

Tried on some new wheels not sure if they suit it i think i prefer the 8 spoke's :D

but it does seem to drive better with these :D

Think wheels in pic look good on van, look more of a subtle update than 8 spokes, paint em black and they look similar to reversed OE wheels.Fill the arches nicely.

Still on with it - decided to get a few jobs that need good weather to do :D i wanted to run my water tank filler pipe through the chassis so it fills up into the top of the tank not 3/4 of the way up - if you don't do this once it reaches the filler level it splashes back up the filler pipe as the air cant escape fast enough

so i cut a hole out and welded in a pipe to give the crossmember it's strength back - the pipe i used was an ex propshaft :D
not the best pic but.......
IMG_3787.JPG

this shows the route of the filler pipe - the filler cap will be inside the van accessed by lifting up the tailgate
the spare wheel fits in this space too :D

been looking for a 'pull style' dash mounted handbrake for a while as the middle seat covers the original one - managed to get a toyota surf handbrake today

i've measured it up and it looks a good fit - it'll need some modding but so far so good :D

fitted the stainless pickup pipe i made into the water tank - this picks up right from the bottom of the tank inside but outside is out of the way up against the floor :D

A door on the toilet is always useful :D

I like the way there's a random registration plate just lying about in the back ;) T595 something ...
