9"s are ford granada, think its 5x112 or i could fit the other pair of 7" ones on a hub adapter, but they look sh*t on the back :?
one of them jobs i'll sort later, it looks good on the steels :wink:

the ones i did for the disk brake conversion on the front loading axle were 112 - i drilled the halfshaft on that and it was outside the bearing :D but 50mm each side sounds like they wouldn't fit even with disks :?: :idea:

Hi I admire your will to save this Transit :) Looks like it is going to be great. I have one question, why take off the springs and axle in the front and replace it with the MK3 suspension? Is it because it will handle better or more precise and easier steering, or because you think it is cool :D ? I ask because I consider doing the same on my MK2. But I thought that handling will be ok with better bushings for the springs and adding a sway bar?

havnt checked this build out for ages
first class work going on m8
the vans gonna be a credit to you
keep up the exelent work
if its got tits or wheels its always gonna end in trouble !!!
anyone can restore a van but it takes a real man to chop it up !!!

hi mate, the main reason for the conversion is to get the front of the van as low as possible, also you get the added bonus of it steering and driving much better :)
i would like to say it should ride better aswell, but i know it wont cos its too low :mrgreen:
