i have spent the last couple of dinner times at work sorting out my front panel.i managed to scrounge a scrap front panel off a good friend the other day, i have been drilling out spot welds to end up with this

Image
as you can see mine is a bit rusty :(

but the rest is good so once i've put the good bit on the top it will be usable

Nice work Mr Browny, gotta make the best out of what you got, panels getting harder (and more expensive) to source.

nice work mate! just a quick question,i see you mention you are fitting a type 9 5 speed g/box? is that the same as a type 9 that fits behind a pinto in a mk1 escort? my mk2 transit has a 2.0 pinto, would the type 9 fit in my mk2 transit?

cheers,auldy

yeah a type 9 will fit in ur mk2,cos i had one in my other mk2 but if you have a car one it moves the gearlever back about 15 inches, which if u have a twin seat on passenger side u cant get reverse :? and u need to modify the prop.
