Hi guys thought id better start a proper thread of my mk1 glendale camper 2.5 di getting all sorted, I brought this lovely old classic of site member ar blunt many thanks, with the view of doing it up and using it for holidays, site meets, shows ect. :D 8) Image Image Here it is at my freinds garage getting ready to start the welding 8) Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

mmm a bit of welding here and there m8y but when its all done and sorted it will be a pleasure to drive such an old classic :D the bonus is its tax free aswell 8) :lol: :wink:

yes andy and with the iFS it should be nice , so big bonus, tax free, cheap to keep and iFS well worth messing about with
and of couse you join the mk1 owners :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Looks a bit rough underneath, but on top looks greats ! I always find the Mk1 the nicest looking of the transits, the classic look ;)

I agree the mk1's are the nicest looking 8) as for looking a bit rough :!: I've had mk3 and mk4's much worse then this and dont forget the old girl is 38 years old :wink: cheers for your comments as im really gonna enjoy this one :D 8) regards andy :)

Glad to see the van is getting put back in order. I am sorry, I had no idea it had got that rusty underneath.

You will have seen that I had some welding done where the rear passenger side leaf spring bolts on. I was told back then (a couple of year back) that the rest was pretty solid.

Just shows you what difference a year can make.

will be well worth it when all the rust is sorted , its a good looking solid camper ,the main things like the wings all look good in the photo,s 8) 8) 8) 8)

Yes indeed mark the top half seems to be in good condition :) and the whole camper will be really solid once the weldings done :) now im thinking about a respray possibly blaze orage 8) what colour should i go for :?: :?: or keep it as it is :?: :?: any comments are welcome :wink:

andy you can do what coluor you like on the cab :wink: but leave the back white otherwise in the summer it will be like a oven! :wink:
