have you got the mondeo 6 speed box then??

you can see the 2.2 pistton has 7 marks from the injector nozzle, i think the 2.0 tdci nozzles only have 5 spray holes.
Have took your 2.0 head off yet?

Yes mate I've got the six speed box can you confirm the shaft sizes as I think I know what it says just I want to be sure before drop them off to get done

Also yes I've got the 2.0 engine in bits the last pics I put on are of that motor.

It's a good think you went waiting for the flywheel off it as it's well on it's way and has been chewing the crank sensor!! Luckily though I have a spare 17k one that I was planning on putting in anyways.

Offside shaft 41mm off, thats the side that will need the mondeo shaft connecting to, so overall length needs to end up 41mm off.
then the mondeo spider side(make sure you get right sides) will go into the mondeo inner shaft clamped complete with mondeo bracket(which is different to transit one) to the block and into gearbox.

nearside shaft just 10mm off.

Just thought you may have a problem if yours has the later drive shafts with more splines. :|

Cheers mate do I need to fit the Mondeo inner to the nearside shaft or just use the full transit shaft?

The mondeo box output shaft is at a different angle to engine and different width, so the correct bracket and shaft needs to be used.

Is that not for the offside shaft? So I take it I need the Mondeo bracket aswell? The one that bolts to the sandwich plate on the block?

the nearside thats why i said you may have a problem.
if you van is after 04 then you will have more that 26splines on drive shaft, so the pot joint wont go into mondeo box (26 splines)
allthough not sure if they had different amount of splines on mondeos for different years.
i was lucky i have older van with right amount of splines to just pop straight in 6 speed box.
suppose youll only have one shaft to get if yours isnt right.

Hopefully I should be ok but I might have problems if it's the other way round ie the van is a 52reg but the box is out of a 55reg St? Al have to see if I can look inside the box to count the splints I suppose....
