it just means his van has not lost it's van'ness!!!! all well and good making a van into a dayvan with rock n roll bed etc but then when you need to go and collect something too large to slide over what you put in and have to go and hire another van you feel a bit of a prat!!! :? at least this way it's nothing glamourous but he's always got his bed in his van if he needs it and he's always got his van too!!!
and I'm sure when the mdf is painted or carpeted or whatever it will look a bit more professional!
if anyone else wants to use this idea please send nindy nine nindy nine nindy nine and nindy nine to my paypal  (c) all rights reserved and all that shiz!!!! or I will build one for you for £250+ depending on the finish!!! foot crafted, none of this common hand made rubbish!!!     :) :D

do you think this is a bit overkill painting the inside of the new panel in hammerite!! I don't want to be doing this again!!Image

I riveted the new one on

then did some welding, but I really hate this gasless welding it's burning straight through my nice new panel and just making a real job of it, :(

did a bit more round after taking these but still looks crap and it's bending out my new panel where I weld so I have now drilled some holes and spot welded it too, but I'm not dong the other side till I get gas!, might get a bit more done tomorrow will keep posting!

I like the mk4 grill compared to the one I had, but eventally I'm going to cut it up and make it "different"!! maybe like alaN's but it looks pretty good for now and makes it look newer than it is!
hopefully I'll get the welds ground tomorrow and slap some filler on,, had a busy day today so no van time :(
what do you think of the grill??

guess where the buggers took it from me, they tried both feet first, and then went !!!???? have a guess, I tell you what the left foot didn't hurt much, well not as much as when I trod on a nail through the flipflops last week and then dropped a very heavy lump of lead on my toe the day after!still wearing flippin flipflops!, the right foot hurt more than all the welding sparks and grindy bits I do as they were wiggling the needle from left to right, but where they finally got it from made me shout!! and I like to think i'm no wimp as I'm always hurting myself I'm used to a bit of pain, but NOT like that,, never again,, it made me feel sick, and I still do, I can't tell you what it feels like till you guess where they got it from!!

yep i like the grill , looks almost stock the way it matches in with the lights could use some of that chrome spray maybe to get it shinny like the lights too ? . ford did a grill like this on a late 90s fiesta although the shape of the grill is naf , i think honda do a grill on the civic like this too
