electrical problem 1983 mk 2 transit

Postby davetheplumber » Mon Oct 15, 2012 10:57 am

hello everybody,
I have this transit for 16 years ,use it every day.

number 11 fuse keeps blowing, leaving me with no fuel gauge/ temperature gauge or oil warning light.
ignition light comes on,even though the alternator is charging. put a new 8 amp fuse in,every thing goes back to normal, but the fuse blows a few minutes later. if any body has any ideas,it would be really
be appreciated 1

p.s.does any body know where I can download a ford workshop manual pt 1 & 2 ?
so that I can try to sort out an electric problem.

Just a thought. Are the brake or reverse lights on the same fuse or even the heater?
