Australian mk2 booster

Hi Guys I see there are a few Aussies viewing these pages. So this goes out in the hope one can help me.
I have been working my way through the list of work needed by the vehicle inspection and am nearly there. I had the master cylinder overhauled and replaced all the brake lines but now the booster has stopped working I put it into Perth brake parts for overhaul but they said it cant be done and i have to source a second hand part. Its a 1980 mk2 crossflow transit. If ther is anyone out there that can help me with one I would appreciate it trying to keep another transit out of the scrap yard.

mk 2 servos are like early mk 3 ones and i think they can be got new still , they somnetimes come up on uk ebay

cortina 6 cyl is same part.try pbr in osbourne pk.theyre a great mob and can sort it.they helped me out with bits when last in the west.anyone telling you that the parts are not available simply dont want the work.cheers

Not having access to much up here in the Top End, I got advice from someone on this list and I have sent my booster and master cylinder to Hydroboost in Echuca, Victoria, Terry seems very knowledagble and is working on my stuff now. I look forward to getting a fully functioning as new set of components back soon amd may they then last another 40 years

very handy thread indeed this one.

i'm going to send mine off to be tested while i have the engine out. and terry is only a 45min drive south. or a $16-20 round trip on the freight truck.

and he may get the job of doing my XY GS ute one too.
