Just been to collect a pair of genuine mk2 wing i won on ebay,the seller asked my if i was interesred in any of his other transit 'junk', amungst it was a genuine nos mk2 front cross member inner and outer! Sweet! All for £50

Its amazing, only yesterday i was looking at the cross member scratching my head trying to decide what to do with it!

Front x-member, headlight panels,complete pedal box,rear x-member and a couple of other bits of dash and tinware was the £50 junk

The wings came out at £180the pair, the price isnt the issue as i spent £275 with the gentleman i am so shocked and chuffed i found a complete genuine front cross member as this was going to be the one bit of the restoration i wasnt looking forward to! And had no luck sourcing one so far

Sounds to me like you know a little more than you are telling

especially as these came from your neck of the woods

id of happily paid £200 just for the fr x-member so to me ive had a good day, met a lovely old fella had a tour of his mk2camper, and im one step closer to putting another rare mk2 back on the road

I had a bloke come up to me at a car boot a few months back,I was using the transit to take the stuff in.
He said he had a new front wing for one in his shed.
I asked how much he wanted for it and he said it had to be £10 because it had never been fitted and he lived four hundred yards away.
I went and got it along with a screen and heater unit,all he'd take was a tenner.
I bet nothing like that will happen again for a long long time.

i just paid 225 for 2 new wings and a 2nd hand bonnet ( bonnet is good compared to mine )
then while there got the front splitter/spoiler for 40 - happy days

Should consider keeping front crossmember to use as a pattern for remanufacturing new ones,must be a few quid in that
