If you arn't in a hurry Nadjenka normally goes back to Slovakia once or twice a year... I'm sure that would cut down on the carriage costs?

Hi

Apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it, but...

Can anyone tell me what the MT75 gearbox ratios are? I presume from the happy comments that the Essex gets on well with them?

Thanks

Can't help with ratios but my Essex v6 drove great with mt75 box and suddenly could do double speeds in each gear too! Great motors

The Cosworth V6 we had in the Granada in the UK was based on the Cologne engine so has a different bellhousing pattern to the Essex, if you have one of these then best to look out for the SVO adapter kit used with the 2.9 fitted in the Mk3 Transit. You will need the adapter plate, flywheel and starter.

If you are lucky enough to have one of the Cosworth GAA quad cam engines, (based on the Essex block), then this will fit to the Mt75 di gearbox using our adapter plate.

Has anyone fitted an Essex to a diesel van, or are you doing this to Pinto-engined vans, and using the diesel gearboxes?

If a diesel-motored van has been done, then how much of a pain was it to sort the wiring? And can anyone give any pointers?

Many thanks

Should be straight forwards wiring as the essex is an old lump it will only need a continuous live to the coil for it to spark. Starter, alternator etc will all be the same but may be positioned differently.

Just completed some more adapter plates, so 'yes', now available again.

What engine are you running in your Mk3?
