Don't know about mats, but the very early mk3 cortinas has fomoco stamped on the glass, not triplex.

Now where did I put that hat? ;)

i heard ford got it from a scrap yard? mabey thats why it had a new roof on it as somthing was put on top of it and dented it

I heard that too. More than likely it was wearing a tina or sommat when they found it.
