Hi mate, I have recently found out who made these and have emailed regarding availability.

They are checking if they still have the tooling available.

If they are unable to supply then I will look into producing these at our works.

Hi Tim

Thanks for making the effort to get some much needed panels.

I am after a MK2 N/S inner front wing and wheel arch, not sure if they originally came together or not, like hens teeth I guess. Also front wings ? I may be missing something but who do I speak to, if I want a pair of rear wheel arches for a MK2 twin wheel van?

Thanks

I think that I can remember when these were available, all the rage in the 80's 8)

I would be happy to produce a mold from one of these so that we could supply these to members.
If any one has one, even in poor condition, then I would be interested in it with a view to producing copies.

Let me know if you can help lads.

Right then chaps, Transitmania is looming and the Dieselhead stand will once again be at the show.

We have managed to negotiate a few deals with our suppliers that will be of interest to the owners of the older Transits. A selection of parts will be available for inspection at the show, these include;

Mk1/2 Front door step outer sills,
Mk1/2 Upper side panels, swb,
Mk1/2 Lower side panels, swb,
Mk1/2 Lower side panels, LWB,

All these parts are just £20 each!

I have a few Mk1/2 swb rear wheel arches left, these are £21 each, both sides are available.
There are only two Mk1/2 LWB Twin Wheel rear wheel arches left, both Right Hand Side, these are £50 each.

There is only a limited stock of these parts, my suppliers are unlikely to be producing more, so if you are attending Transitmania and wish to avoid disappointment, please let me know and I will put your name on the parts you want.

I also have some NOS parts that I can bring to the show;

Outer rear valence repair panel, £25
Lower front panel for a Mk2, £75

I have what I believe to be a rear spring hanger repair panel for a Mk1 swb van, as these are no longer available we would like to produce these for Forum members, so any assistance in correctly identifying the part would be most appreciated.

See you at the show chaps :D

Hi Tim, how long would you need it for, I've got a genuine one on my van but it's hiding a rotten front valance quite well so wouldn't want to be without it for long.

Hi there, a very generous offer there Sir :D
Provided we planned it in properly so that other work didn't get in the way then I hope just a week would do.
Are they quite rigid or would we need to 'concoct' some devise to hold it in shape while we made the mold?
Naturally you would have the first one for free in return for loan of the master 'plug'.
