If it helps anyone else there is a firm called Nelsons who list brake rubbers etc for early transits as well as other old cars.

The model number will tell you what you need to know Gringo.
Or the VIN plate.

I suggest however that you measure the diameter of your old cylinders.
During 40 years, someone may have changed things around.

Good thinking Trinny, would you also recommend splashing some round the tube nut on the brake pipe?

Good advice Trinny.
The tube nut is on the brake pipe about an inch from nipple, so well away from any rubber.

Tube nuts trap water if they aren't greased after assemby, which means the pipe can become very fragile.
Not unknown to have to replace pipes along the axle when you replace wheel cylinders.

Red rubber grease is probably the best grease to use around wheel cylinders.
It can be used under the ruber dust caps on brake cylinders, on nipples, and tube nuts.
It's compatible with normal brake fluid and brake rubber.

If you contact Pete Chapman, I am sure he will be able to suppy new seals and a new dust caps Ellwood.

It isn't much help towards knowing the ID of your rear cylinders though, as someone may have replaced the cylinders the factory fitted with a different size.
It's an easy way to tune brakes.
