Ignition barrel and door locks Easy to replace without key?

Postby J_a_t_333 » Mon Mar 24, 2014 9:52 am

I've only gone and bloody lost me keys with no spares!

Anyone know if its easy to replace the door locks and ignition barrel without the keys? And does anyone have any for sale?

Many thanks

If you take a door lock out it may have the key number engraved on it and you can get a key cut from the number. If it is still the original ignition key then you should be able to order another from Ford with the chassis number, otherwise get to your local scrapyard and get a couple of handfulls of the right style ford iginition keys - chances are one will fit

Where are you? I have a MASSIVE ring of keys (door and ignition) and at least 10 sets of current keys, so one might fit. You can't keep em but could get em cut.....
