Thinking of redesigning the bed somehow so it doesn't need the front seats.

Have they started to collapse or the foam degrade? Mines not that bad and my back is bad enough I've given up driving Mercs and BMWs because I can't walk properly after a 100 miles...that said I've got some Subaru ones to go into mine when I can make up a subframe.

Sort of both really - covers have gone and foam degrading. I put a couple of cushions underneath my bum and they sunk down. I have some nice Saab leather seats that I was going to put in but Tim took a look and said they were too wide and high.

Thats not helping matters, my cover is on the way out but the seat foam has held its shape really well

Best seats ever are the ones in our Mk3 ... can drive from Norfolk to Malaga and never a twinge. Brilliant seats.
