Info on autos

Hi guys & gals not been on for a while although do popin now & then for a read. Just a question on Mk1 miss piggy torque on auto box not brilliant & 2ltr V4 with heavy body doesn`t help but just wondering if an oil change on the box might help.

the oil should be a nice bright cherry red colour and not smell burnt... if you change it, put in some lucas stop slip as well.

when was the last time the box was serviced some of the older boxes have filters and can have the bands adjusted manually in the service,,,, is it a bw35?

Colour not bad, No idea what box neil bit cold for crawling about at the minute + i have another interest a 1968 mk2 Jag as well but warmer weather before we start messing again. The kickdown sometimes dodgy but don`t want to be doing too much adjustment to that, anyway just thought we might get a few ideas before we start inwarmer climes. Semi retired now s might be able to get to a few more shows, Happy Holdays to all regards Kenny
