first problems

Postby pekke » Mon Aug 03, 2015 12:40 pm

Hi guys!
on friday i'd take home my 1985 transit mk2 2.5di.

I noticed that the indicator of coolant remains stationary at zero for the first ten minutes. Then rises slowly, but if I run the highway right back to zero. If return on city streets began rising again ..
What could it be?
At what level should keep the liquid in the expansion tank?

second question:

it seems that when I leave the rear axle jumps .. is this normal?

thanks in advance guys!!!

That sounds like normal operating temp. Diesels run
Colder than petrols. Your engine will lose heat on the move with the air flow. As long as it doesn't get in the red it'll be fine.
