yeah I saved those off the Ebay ad. Some good detailed pics, always helpful :)

Quite a lot of difference in that front valance, the spring hangers are longer out front. Also extra brackets on top to bolt the grille to. I can see what people cheat and just do the grille and bonnet.

But it does not look right if the standard flatnose/petrol bumper is fitted, with the grille overhanging it. Looks like a fat man with with his belly hanging over his belt :)

of course you can, I have a 5.0 V8 in a flat front! You just need to buy a few cutoff wheels, then get the heat stick out and fill in the holes! :)

the engine doubles as a heater in mine :) No room for a clutch pedal in there, barely room for the two pedals! What box are you going to hang off the back of it?

You could always do what the Americans did on the Ford Econoline, and offset the drivetrain towards the passenger side to create more footwell room for the driver. Not a big fan of that idea personally, but it did not seem to cause any issues on the millions of those things that were built. I have a 1992 Econoliine, and the engine is almost competely in the cab area, inside its dogbox, and offset to the right by maybe 100mm?
