Can I see what you guys have collected over the years? This can be enamel signs, clocks, oil tins, illuminated advertising etc etc. I've been into volkswagens for many years and have an array of automobilia for vw's. Would love to see what you have and what was out there in days gone by

I was also massively into Vdubs.

What Vdubs you had?

You'll find its much harder to find parts and there's a lot less stuff around for Transits than there is for Vdubs.

Harry, I have 2 split buses, 65 and 67. Also a 1954 Tempo Matador and only 24 known world wide as VW out compete them into an early grave

I've got an old wind up dash clock and recently found a lovely old blue Ford brake fluid tin which I keep in the van. Will post up pics soon

Years back when Mums steet was re tarmac 'd they dug up a wills wild.woodbine sign!

Brake fluid tin I found.


Ford clock, Bakelite so must be off something early, but going to fit it somewhere in the van.





Suction cup petrol lighter, take the striker out the top and strike the Flint on the side to light.



Steering wheel clock that fits in the middle of steering wheel and winds up when wheel is turned.



12V Bakelite cigarette dispenser fits on the steering column. Put cigarettes in side and they fall into the bottom drawer. When the drawer is flipped open a small tab nudges the cigarette onto the element and lights it for you

The big grey thing under the work bench on the right is a NOS German water pump which would have an aircooled bug engine on it. Taken out of an early vw split fire bus.

Yes it does, I'm just fascinated by the thought that went into these old accessories. I use some of the in my van when I go to shows. Much better than the plastic crap that's available nowadays

See an episode of storage hunters or such, an old 1900s Michelin man air compressor they found sold for 100s poss 1000s... still working ! They really don't make things like they used to !!!

not so much ford but i have a side panel from a bradford trolley bus on my shed, it has their crest on it ect and dad has a Producers Bananas whole side panel from a morris ld i think

and i have a folder full of brochures ect most of which have been uploaded to here somwhere - i also seem to have collected quite a few old tax disc holders, some ford some other companies/car makes
