Euroliner Wheel trims & Studs MK 2 LWB

Postby South Hem » Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:43 pm

I have a LWB MK 2 that I want to fit some Euroliners wheel trims on.

Couple of questions for those in the know:

What is the thread type of the wheel studs? Is it AF, Witworth,UNF ???

What is the size of the stud?

Are all LWB vans left hand thread on one side and right hand on the other?

Looking at the studs some appear to stick out further than others. To fit Euroliner wheel trims you need at least two studs with enough meat on them to 'catch' the captive nut. Does that mean fitting two extra long studs to each wheel?

Thanks for any advice offered.

yes all lwb twins are left and right thread and there is two longer studs for each wheel for the captives these are slotted for the fitting tool all the bits would come in the kit,,,, the downside to them is they can t be locked on

Bad news is Euroliners went bust and 14" liners have been unavailable for some time.

The good news is that the original owner started up again and they hope to have them in stock for the Mk2 in about 8 weeks time, I've got my set pre-ordered :D

Not got the rears on yet as I need to extend the thread extenders, not happy with only having a couple of threads holding them on.

Edit bugger the pictures are huge - how do i get them not to show up so big?

They're on Facebook and they have a website, sure it's wheelandmotion.com I would give them a call, I ended up speaking to the guy who runs it, you need the thread extenders for the transit and you have to open out the fixing holes in the fronts - only took a minute or so with a cone cutter on the drill. The rears should be ok but I'm making some longer thread extenders as they are only in by a couple of threads.

I put the grinder over the heads of a couple of my wheel nuts so there was a couple of mm more thread of the stud for the extenders to fit onto. Oddly some of my wheel nuts were different heights anyway..

You can also get the valve extenders for the inner rears, they save a lot of faffing

Got my rears fitted, ended up extending the thread extenders by about 10mm for peace of mind
Just need to fit the air pipes for blowing the inner rears up without faffing.

I am in a constant battle with myself as to whether I want them or not. I was all set to buy some then I painted my wheels matt black with some super military anti corrosion anti detection anti everything paint and now I just cant decide whether I want to leave as is or get the liners!
