pulled the lid off to have a closer look. Here you can see the Eaton M90 supercharger, with throttle intake at the rear. These engines did not run an intercooler, although aftermarket ones are available. Looks like clearance to the throttle body will be tight, otherwise everywhere else looks easy :)

you could probably make a little adapter piece to angle the throttle body down if need be

where would the after market intercooler fit :?:

I think the throttle body will be close on the outside edge, where the cable and bracket are. Don't think it will require bulkhead mods, I can probably just cut the bracket back a bit or flip the throttle body over. In the scheme of things it does not look like being a big problem. :D

Couple of different versions of intercoolers available. Air to air looks like this, and is just sandwiched between the blower and manifold, and of course plumbed through a front mount cooler :

The NA engine is no more! I pulled it out yesterday, along with acres of really bad wiring! Will give the engine bay a good clean up, fit the power steering box, and prep it for the supercharged engine :)

yep should be fun, it was quite quick with the NA engine, should be a rocket with the SC engine

Gave the engine bay a good clean today. It is surprisingly unmodified from standard, just a few extra holes here and there, it would be quite easy to refit the original Pinto engine if I was that way inclined!
Anyway, no chance of that, so just planning what to do next. I will begin fitting the power steering, and will relocate the battery tray to the opposite side of the engine bay, to make room for the airbox.
