Hi this is probably bad etiquette but could you tell me were that plate is mounted? As I bought mine with it sat in the windscreen and can't figure out were it's from. Doesn't really seem like a question worthy of a thread.

Its mounted on the side of the drivers step, you can just see the black rubber mat at the bottom of the picture......

I'd guess it's a Transit 80 from the weights shown. But that's only a guess! Lol!

Lovely van BTW!

Thanks guys. I needed to know as a mate has got a NOS rear plaque with TRANSIT 90 on it and mine is FORD TRANSIT. Also my van is a diesel, were diesels also known as 90's as Neil you mention that the petrol is a 90?

THE PLATE IN THE PICTURE tells me its a 2.0 petrol van so maybe its been swapped to diesel along the way sometime :?:

Thanks Neil you've been a great help. Appreciated.

Will the guru's chew my nuts off if I put a FORD 90 plate on it ? :-/

Just noticed you're in Preston, wish I'd checked before as went in the van up to Chorley to see the outlaws a few months ago. Could of popped in to see if you're kettle was working :-)

I think that 90 refers to the weight rating rather than the engine type, and in any case, it's your van, put whatever badge you like on it :P 8)

that's a changed panal and bonnet it was likely to have left the factory as a 2.0 v4 and changed down the line
