MK2 PHASE 2 - build dates?

I received these pics of my van (Supervan 2) when I purchased it last month. These were taken when the previous owner purchased it, in 1989. First owner was News Distribution Services in London, and it was hauling newspapers, which explains the good condition of the rear interior!

The reg is C488 VLM and the VIN/chassis number is WFOVXXGBVVFK78456. Can anyone please tell me:

a) what month and year it was first registered in the UK?
b) the VIN suggests a build date of October 1985, when was the last Mk2 built?

I reckon this must have been near the end of the Mk2 build cycle?

end of 85 or maybe early 86 the first mk 3 came on a c but the build date and registration dates can be apart theres d plate mk 2 about fred may know more

mine is a horsebox - converted at new i think from paperwork

To the original poster, not sure if you ever found this info but your van was registered 4th April 1986 according to the DVLA website.

so as far as the dvla . gov goes they assume its still here in the uk then
