CI Tavelhome on mk2 rear door glass

Postby davev6newman » Thu Sep 08, 2016 3:18 pm

Some pond life has just smashed my glass in the back door of my camper, it a Travelhone with a one piece full length glass panel. Anone got a door or the window itself. Also has anyone had any experience in replacing the glass?.

If it wasn't for the mirror tint on the back of the glass it would be all over the floor now. Looks like airgun cause the impact is tiny, or one of those tools you use in an emergency to break a windscreen.

Could you not just make a template and get a glass place to cut and toughen a new one. They are flat glass so shouldn't be too pricey.

I've got a window like that in my garage, The outside of the frame measures approx. 44 1/2" x 13 3/4". Is the beading that covers the fixing screws on the inside or the outside? The window I have has the 3 round corners & 1 square corner like the pic, if the beading is on the inside then it is the same way round as the one in the pic, The glass has had some paint drips on it but should clean off ok, I'm in Basildon,
