My 4x4
Fire
Transit van
Has 6 Spring like collars that were fitted to the rear wheels what are these for ?
They were fitted between the inner faces of the rear wheels ?
What do they do assume
They in wrong place ?
Surely the wheels don't fit together with 6 collars as the load bearing face ?

Has the previous owner put them in as spacers so the tyres don't rub if they're oversized ?

std twin wheel mk2's had them fitted drum side of inner wheel but not between the wheels , do the tyres look close if you stand them face to face , maybe a picture would help just to see the tyre gap

i have seen these before but i dont think ive seen them on transits - from memory they have them against the hub - i say memory most of my transits have been swb :)

this type work on compressing against the stud and the taper locates the wheels against the front side of each wheel - i think its just a different idea of the same thing :D

All twin wheel Transits have these, they mimic the taper of the wheel nut to correctly seat the inner wheel.
