Images worked for me last night and it looks in good condition for its age, incidentally how old is the van. N

that's better :) Looks like a good base to start from. You are right, sliding door will probably hit the rear wheelarch flare.
Those Euro headlights are a bit different too, 180mm instead of 7 1/2", and the bowls, bezels and backing are different to the UK ones too.

There can only be a handful of '66 vans left, its the wrong van for a supervan replica. Too much to change, original supervan had to be space framed to take the power. Then a shell bolted on top.

yes, i think it will have to be sold on, but at least it should make enough money for me to be able to get a better donor, i will have to get it MOT'd to get it registered, but will get it UK registered before i sell it to maximise the money potential, unless anyone wants to make offer as is.

ok guys and girls, i think we are all agreed this should be saved, so whats it worth, as is, or MOT'd and UK reg, i will get NOVA sorted, so will just need MOT for UK reg, don't think that will take much,

I just helped sell a van with same spec & year but rhd. It was stripped with no welding & all the new parts to put back together. It made £8000.

bugger me thats a good price, this van doesn't need welding, its solid, but it does need rear wheel arches, rear lower quarters, rear valance and a sill in the drivers left hand step, thats it, and that would then make it rust free, although this is welding, its only cosmetic welding rather than structural welding, i know christmas isn't a good time to sell and left hand drive will put some off and i guess drag price down, it does have mountings for rhd steering box so i guess could be changed relatively easy.

converting from left to right is never relatively easy :P there lots of small little changes here and there

front indicators should be split orange and clear ones but apart from that, a nice early find

The biggest headache for left to right is the dashboard, you have to either change the whole thing or cut & shut and the pedal box as the clutch linkage is totally different. One pushes & the other pulls, as I have just found out!. You only have to change the axle ends & steering box. I would leave it as it is & just get it Moted & registered , let someone else decide if to convert the steering. I have just been offered a '68 van that needs a little work & they are asking nice £5200.
