looking for an engine to take my mk1 back to original

Hi all. I am looking to buy a 2.5l essex v6 to take my mk1 bullnose back to original spec. Can anyone sell me one or point me in the direction of someonewho can?

ebay ,, type in Essex v6 or ford transit Essex v6 and it will be a 3.0 with a single carb

yeah i'd have thought a 3.0 would be cheaper than a 2.5 to insure also 2.5's must be really rare these days :)

2.5 was a Consul and Granada thing wasnt it?

Yes consul and granada but some of the big old Zephyr Mk4s were 2.5 V6 as well. I put one in a SWB Mk1 transit not as much torque as the 3 litres but pulled well enough.
