Temperature Guage

Postby Jimbbobw1977 » Mon Jul 03, 2017 6:59 pm

Today the radiator has been flushed out, I have swapped out the leaking heater matrix for a new unit and the blowers all work lovely now and good heat.

The temperature sender has been changed and the temperature Guage now works - however the temperature needle is sitting towards the high end of hot and not in the middle. It's not getting into the red zone it's just before the first white dot on the right.

Should this concern me? Thanks

Nope, they are not the best of gauges, all of mine read differently. Just worry if it goes into the red

I stuck my kitchen thermometer in the rad when it was up to temp and it read 90 so I'm happy with that!

Remember with the pressure cap on the radiator will pressurise to allow the boiling point of the water to rise above 100 so deffo no worries there.
