yes there is, seems to deliver a consistent 5V supply to the gauge. Fuel gauge works okay too.

So if you can find a 50ish ohm resistor, then you might be able to see if it puts the guage in the right place for normal temp.

those resistance values are helpful, thanks! I could probably mess with putting an inline resistor in, to get the needle in the right place, but the curve is probably different on the sender, so gauge may not get full sweep.
