Mk1 V4 Carb question

Postby teamreg » Mon Apr 09, 2018 5:33 pm

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone can help? Got a Mk1 that I'm currently restoring. It has the V4 essex engine on Fomoco 1V carb.

On the front N/S of the carb it has a fuel inlet, with 8mm pipe connecting the mechanical fuel pump.

On the O/S front of the carb there's another inlet/outlet that isn't currently connected to anything?? Slightly smaller size, say for 6mm for pipe. Any ideas what this is for??

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Ah I see!

Well that would maybe explain why it wasn't connected to anything.

Been searching everywhere to try and find an answer to this, so that's great, cheers!
