this is what i did when i had a similar problem - to diagnose if it was fuel pump or line/tank related!
i got a drum of diesel tied it in the engine bay against the steering column filled it with diesel and put the pick up pipe difectly into it - drove down the road see what it was like
with mine it was fine so i realised it was fuel line related but this was on an earlier engine that didnt have a lift pump
also what make of diesel pump do you have
proberbly just a pipe from the desel pump strait into a can - didnt drive it for long as i left the return into the tank so it would soon empty the can but i did it enough to prove to me that my pump was okredeemer wrote:Hi luke! Do you mean that you drove the van by gravity? thats what we say here
