SO if I understood well , when full , you have lack of power and when low your van is normal?

Might be worth checking , after a long run and full tank , go and open the fuel cap and listen carfully if as you open it up it sucks air in  Make sure the breather pipe of tank and cap has a small hole for air passage, so the engine will not have any problems sucking the diesel.
Else check the return pipe if its blocked
Keep us informed how you get on.
And WELCOME as I can see this is you first post :D :D

Redeemer, only just read this thread, don't know if it will help now but I think your problem could have been low pump pressure, the internal vane (low pressure) pumps wear and often adding an electric booster pump is a trick to make the injector pump last a bit longer.
Fuel rushing to the front of the tank would have temporarily restored propper pressure :?:

Hi alanwh , my problem have been solved long time ago, I wrote it on this thread  http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=34513
because when I was new to forum I opened 2 threads don't know why
It was partly, of two problems, Lucas Cav given biodiesel + petrol tank with a bit short pickup pipe.
On the other thread I put 2 phots of the diffeerence between a petrol and a diesel tank, and the pickup pipes.
why you think on i_support_no_team problem?

Hi redeemer

I do about a 25 minute journey each day, would that be a long enough journey to try it? I havent dared put any more than a quarter tank of diesel in the last couple of weeks but what I have noticed is that the colder it is in the morning the worse the problem is.

Is there anything I can put in my diesel tank to try to help?

thanks

Alanwh , if I understood well, his problem arise when he has got a full or half tank full of diesel. When he has a quarter tank the problem has minimal effect..

So I told him to check if the tank has a breather or a hole where atmospheeric pressure can be achieved in the tank.
I support no team I think , It should be enough (just try!) but better loosen off the rubber seal around the tank cap , keep it in a safe place, and try and see if the problem persists.
keep us updated :D

is it possible that fuel coming back form the return on a fuller tank is frothing?? as the fuel level is nearer the return pipe?
