Searching for my old Mk1 Jennings Roadranger

Postby davev6newman » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:50 pm

I thought i would just bring this post back online to see if anyone new has spotted this van recently.

Does anyone now the whereabouts of my old van? Ever since selling him ive always had regrets, but most of all, if it is still bieng looked after and cherished like i used to do.

But in the 3 years since, it has not appeared on any club scene or joined a classic club like the classic camper club etc.

Have you seen it? any sightings would be great.

Would it be possible to trace it via the DVLA?.They seem to give out details of owners to pretty much all and sundry these days.

basic tax check shows Chuckie has run out of SORN too :(

The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for WOO 578L are:

Date of Liability 01 02 2009
Date of First Registration 22 03 1973
Year of Manufacture 1973
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3000CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour BLACK

would seem either someone has overlooked putting it on a sorn in february or its changed hands without the reg docs being updated
1979 mk2 pre facelift CI campervan " Bessie Brown "

1994 Pug 405 est " George "

1998 pug 106 "Mildred"

It was a moment of madness i think, after 5 years of ownership i thought something newer was the way to go....................WRONG! Mk2 is the best condition one i could find, and condition is everything to me. I like the Mk2 but it aint no Mk1 3.0Ltr!

Thanks for your replies tho, hopefully someone knows of it whereabouts

I assume if the vehicle has been scrapped it would say that, wouldn't it?. So hopefully its been laid up somewhere.

Hi i do remember chatting to you, did you say you lived on the birds estate?
It wasnt you that had a transit fuel tank and sender for sale was it at all?

Lord knows where Chuckie is now, i did sell to someone local who had a haulage firm, but when i spoke to him again he sold it as he needed the money for another venture, and it went North, poss Lincs area.
