How do you find the noise issue :?:

As soon as I have the cover off, I'll post a pic and maybe you can tell me if you think the teeth are beyond salvaging, etc or if they're ok.

Have a chat with essex engines, as I'm sure I asked about noise, theres a more expensive alloy one which I beleive is quieter

Photos of my old and new fibre cam gear

Postby welshrussell » Sat Jun 12, 2010 5:28 pm

Managed to get the front cover off after much heaving and crowbarring of the seized on front pulley :?

And for once, pleasantly surprised that nothing seemed to be broken, falling to bits, rusted through, etc.

I found a fibre cam gear on ebay that had been used for an hour on a rolling road before a courier arrived with a steel one - it looks absolutely mint 8)

But my old one doesn't to be worn much and shows no signs of braking away from the steel, so at least I have a good spare - just in case

Post would probably make more sense if you replied to the original one.
