Another one to add to the list

Postby AlanN » Sun Nov 13, 2011 8:31 pm

Popped over to Fordboynicks today to look at the electrics on another MK2 he has... Late swb 2ltr which he is going to restore. Not been started for absolutely years... Nick took the head off during the week, to check it over and found nearly 5ltrs of water in the sump, just had to knackered. After some new seals and gaskets and couple of hours tracing an ignition fault, we managed to get the ole girl going. Idled really well and no smoke, which stunned me.

Gonna stay standard, so his looking for wings, new lamps all-round, already has some repair panels, oh and a half decent drivers seat...

I don't think it would have had wheel trims at all, if the standard bumpers are to be believed. The bumpers are standard/pop and the original pepperpot wheel trims were a custom or minibus thing, as was the spoiler. I have some spare rear lights if he needs them.
