Mk4 side and rear doors

Postby Bucis » Thu May 16, 2013 5:24 pm

Hi everyone, 1st time posting :)
The side door is opening by itself when driving on our bumpy roads. I went to the shop to get it fixed, worked fine for about a day. I tried adjusting the two screws that holds the locker in place, worked fine for a little while, now nothing helps. They keep opening, I should go back to the shop but I just don't have the time, any ideas?
Also, the rear doors keep jamming shut on stronger wind, looks like the rubber bush thing that holds them in place is worn out, anyone can help me finding the code for them?

Thats all right

Sometimes threads need a little bump to get people to notice... but a "i'm still stuck guys" or something like that would get a better response than one like that.

SLD - don't know. I would guess that one of the cables for the handles is snagged on something keeping it just at the point where it would open. Very hard to tell without actually being there

When you say the rear doors keep "jamming shut on stronger wind" do you mean the wind blows them closed? If so the springing in the stays goes weak over time...
