No power after changing cam belt

Postby drivetheglobe » Thu May 16, 2013 9:03 pm

Got the cam belt changed and after that my 100PS good old Motorhome goes 60km/h if it sees a hill on the horizon..
He even put the motor tester on , sais -0,37 degree between axle of pump and motor, and some timing issue, but I
think later only my usual EGR fault...

Had similar issue 5 years ago after I had the Lucas pump repared and put it in with new belt. Had to go to diesel puzmp service again to get it fixed.

Si I brought it to the diesel experts this time, too, but should this be normal ?
Or an extra feature of my 1997 Transit version ?

Diagnostic reader.

Ford FDS or Lazer 2000 are only ones to be able to access EPIC ECU.

Did you pin up correctly? And check alignment after turning motor over 2 turns and refitting pins?

I 'm not the expert for those testers nor for english language, sorry ;-)....
But had the belt changed and things read out by an expierienced Ford mechanics, So trust its ok.

It seems that this is not so common that after cam belt change something changes so dramatically
- not even with this Lucas Pump ?
