Mk5 hi cube help

Postby cheekiechappie » Fri May 17, 2013 9:33 pm

Hi ya lads, long time lurker first time poster  names Mark, and from Ireland. In the process of converting my 00 smiley Hi Cube to a semi camper/motorcycle hauler for my r1. My plan is to insulate it, ply line it, carpet walls and roof and some rubber floor matting with kicthen and a couch that will pull out to a double bed. Bike will be loaded beside couch bed via a wheel chock. Have 2 minibus windows, skylight and will paint it rustoleum satin white with a satin black bonnet. So some questions lol

1. Easiest way to fit windows & skylight ?
2. Can u lower a mk5, if so was looking atturning rear upside down rear and chopping bit off front springs, how much should be chopped ? will be leaving on standerd steelies which will be painted satin black ?
3. What model mondeo clock fit ?
4. What boss will fit for aftermarket steering wheel ?
5. Easiest way to fot 2 car seats up front ?
6. Is a mk6 bumper easy to fit ?
7. Will a mk4 grill fit a mk5

thanks lads, probably discussed here before but any help apreciated, will put up project thread shortly

Welcome! as far as the Mondeo clocks are concerned there isn't a one fits all. It depends on what wiring loom you have, cable or electric speedo etc. These 2 threads should get you on the road....
