does any body know if it is possible to get an over size front wheel bearing ? , new bearing outer race not seating in stub axle ? .

There is unlikely to be a larger bearing. Are you sure you have the correct bearing?
More likely the stub axle or the hub is worn under/over size making the bearing a sloppy fit.

If it's a sloppy fit in the hub you can usually get away with using beraing/stud adhesive providing it isn't too loose.
