Well today I pulled the belt off my Hi Cube 2.5TD to check timing as its had an engine swop at only 39000 miles (Seized) by last owner and now does not run well... It seemed as though the timing may have been off by few degrees but still rough and missy, and smokey as hell..

Have a post in Tech help if anybody can help me? thanks

Jacked up rear wheels & supported with axle stands. Undersealed rear half of chassis (floor pan okay), wheel arches already done - just front half to go.

Engine & gearbox oil changed. Oil, fuel & air filter replaced. I let the garage take the strain!

Disconnected the EGR valve and tied it up today. A few miles down the road, started losing power and sounding rough. Tick over rough as a bag of spanners...
Re-attached the EGR valve.... Started running fine after a few miles....
