ha if u sit in ya van when raining u can here rain driping in side the door panels in the front lol and i think it makes the step well rot if u look where a triangle is with 3 screws if u take it of thay are usly roten there . just cut a pice of steel and than tack weld it but dont screw it back on cos i think the 3 screw holes startit roting so i just got some ruber seal and stock them like that.
so theres a tip for ya lol

If the water is UNDER the rubber mats in the front of the van I have found out that the rubber bellows that carrys the electrical cable from the inner wing and into the door can very very very easily become dislodged/ displaced/ unseated, it took me three bloody years to find it, but I have now found the same leak on 3 other trannies, the bellows part nearest the wing gets mucky or moved or slips often only a few MM and water gets behind it and into the inner wing, then it comes into the cab from behind the cover plate on the inside that is held by three screws. It takes about an hour to sort but you need to clean up the whole thing ( pushing it back on doesnt work) and refit it using the plastic tensioners the bellows fastens too on the inner wing.

Suffering the same fault on the 1991 chassis cab. Water is coming in to the corner off the footwell in the corner of the shock absorber plate. there is a 'seem' a few inches up through which the water drips. Then it runs under the rubber mat. I have looked at the ariel mount and cab marker light. The windscreen is tight.
The design problem is that water from the roof runs down the door seal, as there is no deflector channel. It has been suggested that water gets behind the seal and into the windscreen joint. Water also runs past the bellows, or in my case, the blanking bung. It also runs over the door interior light switch. I will be looking at these areas next.

My money would still be on the windscreen even though you say it's tight, they always leak there.

My 1990 190 hi-roof is just the same ive sealed all around the screen with silicone and i sealed all across the top of the screen when it joins the fibre glass roof with mastic and it STILL leaks ive now given up and keep a roll of paper towel in the van and just keep mopping it up!! as and when

have a quick check on the door seal,
it has a joint where the ends meet,
if this happens to be anywhere other than at the bottom of the door theyre prone to leaking through the joint,

took a bit of time for me to suss this one on mine,

If your van has had a knock at anytime apparently the bulk head to inner wing seam ( near the bonnet hinges) can spring slightly. this lets rain run from the scuttle panel down the verticle seam and into the van. but the most common leak I have come across if water is appearing UNDER the carpet in the footwell is the cable ducting gaiter from the door to the wing, ( sited between the top and bottom door hinges).

I get a lake in my passenger footwell after heavy rain, you open the door and it literally pours out.

Haven't got round to sorting the problem yet as have got enough to do on the van, just periodically open the door to drain the water out if the van isnt being used
