mk5 - what sie of the front fog lights?

Postby maciejd » Sat May 11, 2013 7:26 pm

Hello All

I know that the cut-out for the original plastic frame in the front bumber is to be 230mm wide. But what size of rect front fog lights fits best?
I would surely measure it myself but my fog-lights-ready bumber is 80km from me and I'll see it in a couple of days.

Or maybe someone can give the part number/model of headlights that fit? :)

thanks in advance
Maciej
regards, Maciej

If that wouldn't be a problem for you, I'd be grateful :)

I have found Hella 550 series fog lamps which looks pretty classic and seems not to be a cheap Chinese crap.

However, they are a little bit bigger that Andy's lights: 4.69 inch high x 7.69 inch wide x 3.25 inch diameter. I think the 0.69 inch (1.75cm) width difference might be a problem, so I have to do make a paper template and do a try before buying them.
