Yes, hours, days, weeks and months of a self inflicted, miserable life of expensive, hand wringing anguish and torment, if you want to put an end to all that nonesense, you know what to do.

Well, he knows how to beat a Mk 7, maybe even on a bike, as long as it was dirty enough.

It was there, and at a total cost of little more than a re map, and a few LEDs, it will rise again. :D

Garlic naan maybe ?

I don't mind blowing a turbo when it's entirely my own fault.

My SWB failed on the dragstrip twice LB...

But both times it finished the run and drove back. Once the EGR blank blew and chucked smoke out everywhere... the second time the cambelt slipped - we repaired that in the "pits".

But yes - if I can't sort it out it will be bosched. BUT I am trying to learn about the epic system to help other people out

Low power is normally a duff sensor in my experience.

Does it have a turbo?

Take a small syringe, start the motor and raise and hold the revs to say 2000, pinch MAP pressure line and disconnect at manifold, then connect syringe and gently increase pressure, it should then increase fueling - or bring on The Red Light Of Dispair .....

Either way it removes the MAP from the equation if the pump reacts.

Interesting idea Jim... when I can get hold of a syringe of an appropriate size I may give it a go

T'is a 'standard' pressure regulator/sensor test procedure to see if it behaves as it should.

Chemists or hydroponics suppliers would be favourites to stock them.
