Start a new thread mate, MinorMatt is the EPIC expert on here I'm sure he will be able to suggest something, if your van is an auto though the box won't work if you convert to a bosch pump.

Jist get a bosch pump dont mess with it other than turning a screw or 2 on pump. I believe when fitting manual pump something poss cam needs to be advanced prior to pump or such so do your googling or search manual pump conversion on here .

What about a 'performance pump' for a non-turbo 2.5 Di? Or is that just silly given it's fairly easy to source and fit a turbo, and one should do so immediately*? ;)

* when funds and time permit ... of course ...

If you have already turned the pump up then you don't have much more to gain. You need to feed it more air to go with more fuel to get more power otherwise it's just going to make more smoke, hence the need for either a turbo or supercharger.
You could feed it propane at the same time as diesel for a decent boost in power and cleaner emmisions....

Hello transit.
I'm new here, I'm interested in the subtleties of turbocharging an atmospheric diesel engine of 2.5 liters.
I installed a regular KKK turbocharger on the engine, a regular intake manifold from the turbodiesel and an atmospheric high-pressure pump of the Bosch type 0 460 414 145.
I increased the total fuel supply by the main screw and the flow at low speed by adjusting the pressure corrector. For this, I screwed the screw in the corrector head all the way to the stop and unscrewed one turn.
The motor pulls fine at low speed, I'm moving in the second gear, but it smokes when I accelerate uphill.
I do not like it.
Then I installed a TNT bosch with a LDA turbocharger,
The motor does not smoke, but there is no previous sharpness.
Translation Google-translator.

For anyone who wondered what happened to this project

I spoke to Tim (dieselhed123) today and he said the plan for supplying a kit with injection pump, clutch pedal, cable etc, everything you need for the conversion will be getting back on track over the next few months, they had a problem with one part supply drying up, but have found a solution and as soon as TIm and Andy can get together (Tim is in Kent, Andy is In Stoke)they will update.....the pump and fitting kit price should be around £650.

Tim, its nearly a year on since you said this should be sorted in the next few months.
Did this pump project ever get sorted between you and Andy?

P.S You said you were going to PM me Andy's telephone number?
