Today frosty, -15 gr C.
I started the engine without an electro-fuse device, went and refueled.
He arrived, opened the expansion tank, and froth came from there.
It seems that the head gasket of the block is broken.
Sadness.

Had my 2000 Reg mk5 campervan up on a ramp to check overall condition of chassis etc before going ahead with getting front wheel arches and wings replaced and one or two other rust repairs sorted.

Looking forward to getting it back looking reasonable again!

Super fun in a RWD
Left the van in gear and hand brake off when I got back home.
Judging by the ice hanging off the cable it's not going to release tomorrow.
Bloody snow.
And 20 mph 4x4 drivers need to stay at home.

LOL I would say 'drove it' but there's no way I'd even try driving anywhere today.

It's still snowing ...

I maybe could have taken out the new set of wheels if I felt confident ... ;) I just bought a long in the tooth Volvo S80 :D

Installed two digital voltmeters — one for the starter battery and one for the accessory battery (fridge, heater and inside lights).

Yesterday I went to the car market and bought a head gasket and bolts. It costs about 25 pounds in Kiev.
In Kiev, there are several places where there are many small traders selling parts for a variety of cars.
These places are called "car market" (авторынок).
One of these is located near my house.
