Painting a sill repair. The camper is fitted with a slide out step, but as usual the sill had rotted through from the inside, probably because the water drains had been filled with sealer to stop water dripping on the step, but that was 17 years ago so can't complain. The bracket for the step was a length of 6mm x 60mm bar welded to the inner sill with 6x inch-long welds. It's now an extended 3mm plate (which is still thicker than the bracket on the step itself) welded to the body panel which becomes the middle bit between the inner and outer sill, which would have needed replacing anyway even if the step was taken away.

Mounted an engine block heater in the frost plug hole.
No more cold starts.

So shoot the fuel jets into the combustion chamber in the bottom of the piston.

For many years I have been using such a hybrid booster pump.
But recently his "leg" broke. He replaced it with another one.

In this photo, the booster pump is installed on the unit after a complete overhaul of the engine.

I exchanged serviceable Lada VAZ 2106 for the faulty Ford Transit mk3 1990 with the details of the engine lying in the cabin. It was 11 years ago.
Since that time I have repaired the body, changed the rear axle, changed the details of the front suspension, switched to 15 "and 16" wheels, crashed the engine and I again made a complete engine repair.
The last thing I did was install the turbocharger and replace the conventional Bosch injection pump with 0 460 414 153 at the Bosch injection pump with turbocharger 0 460 414 154.

Sealed a leaky top hatch. 500mm flat hatch on slightly curved roof profile plus 18 years in the sun (or indeed our Great British gloom) equals eventual sealant shrinkage. Tiger Seal saves the day.

Replaced the jammed-shut ashtray with a second 12v accessory socket and double USB. To make sure things don't get left on charge (eg sat nav) I've wired them into the split charge circuit for the fridge.

Adapted a pair of good, old, spiked snow chains to the rear wheels and a pair of new, flimsy, easy-fit chains for the front wheels.
Now I'm ready for some steep, snowy mountain slopes.

I think many transit owners make it easier to adjust the timing of the injection.
