Someone else is doing it cause I can't weld...

It would appear the door sill is a work of art ... in filler and bodging...

And the floor is just a tad rusty

The other side isn't much better. This is gonna cost me :(

Christ, I need to learn how to weld, and find a place to do it :(

you and me both brother, I'm a bit luckier that I have already got the welder and some other bits, but will most likely be doing it outside.

At least your labour costs are somewhat cheaper than getting a coachbuilder to do it. I'm popping along at lunchtime to see how he's getting on. And get a better idea of the final cost ... which will be quite large.

I live in a block of flats. The neighbours would probably go mental if I started welding it in the street.

I suppose I could drive it to Dundee and weld it at my dad's house in his driveway. Would have to pay him for the leccy ... :D

I live in a flat in Edinburgh (some of the time) and change gearbox's etc out in the street, always gets a conversation started but you do have to keep an eye on the junkies eyeing up the tools

fitted the injection pump back on after it was away in Sydney ( I live in Perth) for a week getting new seals.
I was surprised how easy it started. I just turned it over for 10 seconds with the injector pipes loose, did them up and it started after about 3 seconds of turning over.
the bad news is I found the fuel pump leaks now !!! so that's the next thing. oh well.
GO FAST TURN LEFT

Went to see the van today.

Bill for fixing it all is shaping up to be enormous :( The whole bodyis rusty patches over rusty patches done by bodgers over a decade or so, he showed me. No structural strength in it.

After watching this, I don't have any excuse for not learning to weld, huh?

(Although I was told you should seam weld it after plug welding)
